If you like to entertain or serve your meals buffet style, this food warming mat is great! It definitely keeps the food warm when kept on the mat for serving. This mat came nicely packaged in a box, with the mat inside the white storage bag, pictured here. It rolled out flat immediately upon removal from the bag, it is very easy to use, has 4 heat settings and heats up quickly. I used this for a recent birthday party I had for my husband, and I served hamburgers, hot dogs, baked beans and queso with chips. It kept everything nice and warm (after cooking) and did not dry anything out. It seemed to heat everything evenly; it even kept the queso melted and warm. It is plenty large enough to set four large pans/plates on the mat. Due to the raised feet on the under side of the mat, it did not get too hot for my Formica counter tops. The timer allows you to set it to automatically turn off in one to five hours. It is easy to clean; just wipe it off, and it rolls up for convenient storage. This does have a cord so will need a convenient electric outlet to plug it in (in case you are using it outside). This mat allows you to serve multiple cooked food items and keep them warm. This has been a wonderful new addition to my kitchen!
