Unique high edge
These appear to be of high quality material, they are not at all flimsy yet extremely lightweight. Nest nicely for storage. I really like the unique high edge these will be a perfect addition to my conversion van kitchen. When cooking outside it's best to keep food scents on ground to a minimum to prevent uninvited camp visitors and one big issue is meat juices dripping off the edge. Well this edge will absolutely prevent drips and food sliding off the plate. The 10" is a great size! I can already picture that fullsize ear of fire roasted corn slathered with butter & juicy rib eye steak (med rare) fitted perfectly on this plate and not loosing all that fabulous juices to the table cloth or ground! I chose the black for personal reasons but will say they are a very nice plate...bpa free, dishwasher and microwave safe plus a nice presentation on the table! These would be great for young children for the edge is deep enough to assist in scooping the food onto a fork or spoon though the 9" maybe a better size. At $21 for 6 at time of order may seem a little pricey but these are eco friendly recycled wheat straw, extreme quality product that should last for years! Think about how much is spent each year on paper plates that get soggy, allow spills and are just thrown away and really dont give a nice presentation to guests. Personally feel these are fairly priced for the quality and design. the nice modern style would make a great gift for the college dorm student or the person who eats while watching the game in the living room! Eloquent design for a small dinner party with friends yet appears durable enough for every night dinner with the kids. These are big thumbs up 👍

Great plates at a great price. I highly recommend these and I plan to get more.
These are great dishes. To be honest, I wasn’t sure I would like them. I mean, they are just a plastic-type plate, right? Wrong. I really love these, and I plan to buy more. Six dishes are a good-sized set, especially for the price. I got the 10-inch ones, and they are perfect for dinner. They are lightweight, but they do NOT feel cheap. The best thing is the way they are shaped. That lip on the sides just makes everything easier. Note: These are dishwasher safe, which is a must for me, but make sure you read the microwave limitations. This has not been an issue for us, but if you are someone who wants to be able to warm a meal up from cold out of the fridge to smoking hot, these aren’t for that. But for everything else, they are great! I reach for these over all my other (heavier) plates.

Solid plate, beautiful color, be wary of micro plastics
This plate set is quite nice. The plastic is solid and thick. The dish itself is quite deep, I would say at least an inch and a half deep. Which makes it great for dishes that have sauce. These plates could also work as a stew bowl, because of their depth. The color of these plates is rich and stunning. That can sometimes be a problem for items made from recycled materials, but these colors are vivid and beautiful. If I had a complaint, it would be this: these plates are made from recycled material, presumably someone purchasing these has at least a moderate desire to be healthy, and eco-friendly. While these plates are recyclable, they are also still plastic. As you can see from the picture I’ve included, cutting anything on these plates will leave grooves in the plate. Which means, that if you are cutting food on these plates, you are consuming micro plastics. For most consumers, this isn’t even going to be a thought they have, but if your motivation for purchasing this product is, it’s eco-friendliness, just remember that you’re introducing micro plastics into your body, and inevitably back into the environment because this plate will produce plastic shavings when you cut on it.

I think these may be my new favorite plates?Not only do they look decent, they are super easy to clean I got melted cheese on one and it peeled right off.I've put one through the microwave for almost five minutes and it came out and except for directly under the food, the plate wasn't hot. On top of all that, they're pretty decent size where you can fit a good amount of food on there. And my favorite part is they have a very deep lip on them to the point that if you were really pressed to, you could probably eat a full-sized can of soup out of this plate. You would be close to spilling, but I think you could manage it. I've also used a knife with the plate and it didn't leave any noticeable gashes or marks or anything like that.

Versatile, microwave, and dishwasher safe plates
The Perlapoc 9 Inch Wheat Straw Plates 6 Piece Set, Unbreakable Deep Dish Plates, BPA-Free Reusable Plastic Plate for Kids, Microwave and Dishwasher Safe Plate Set for Family, Camping, Grey are actually a bit of a disappointment. Maybe it's just me. When I read that these plates are "wheat straw", I took it to mean that they're made using wheat straw instead of "plastic". I wish that I'd read the product page more thoroughly. While these plates do contain straw, they also contain Polypropylene. I was mistaken in thinking that these plates are a safer alternative for everyone on the planet, and the planet itself. That being said, these plates are dishwasher and microwave safe. They're a nice size. Plus, they aren't flat. They have a nice lip on them that makes them great when serving foods that are juicy, have a sauce, or gravy. I feel that the lip is a great feature. These 9 inch plates appear to be durable and versatile. While I feel that they have a higher price point than typical plastic plates. Also, the plates that I ordered are listed as gray, and they look gray online. However, in person they appear to be sand. It's not a deal breaker for me. It's only mildly irritating since I don't have any beige or sand colored items in my kitchen. I suppose that I'll put them in with my camping and emergency preparedness items. In spite of the polypropylene, the higher price point, and the color, I do still recommend these plates.(My star rating system: 4 stars met my expectations, 5 stars exceeded my expectations, 3 stars fell short of my expectations, 2 stars significantly fell short of my expectations, 1 star highly suggest not ordering)
