Concerningly thin............... but stupidly cool.
As something you set out at an event or for a brief season, it's got the "cool factor" but you probably aren't using it long-term. This set comes well-protected and the craftsmanship comes through. They nailed the stormtrooper design and the bottle-opening is a really cool touch (even though I'm not totally sure why you need it for a decanter, but still neat).My concern is the glass. It's fine, but it's pretty thin (think more the thickness of a wine glass instead of a liquor bottle). It's not going to break from typical use, but I'm not super confident this will survive going in the sink on a regular basis. If it's something used on a rare occasion, like on a guy's night or to geek out over a Star Wars watching, then it's fine, but this would easily be my thinnest 'drinking glass' if used more regularly.The other thing that I noted... but isn't necessarily a 'concern'... is that the way they make the design is to hollow out the bottom of the glass and leave it open. The stormtrooper head is basically "hanging" in the glass and is what holds liquid. This means it isn't holding a ton of liquid which isn't a problem if you're drinking straight liquor. If you're cutting it, there isn't a ton of room to work. I do wonder how easy it'll be to clean, especially if you put anything in it that isn't straight liquor or has some sugar/syrup to it.Overall, I think it's a fine value for the money. It's not the deal of the year, but it's on-par with similar products and even with my concerns I'd consider it a "good purchase". It's $36 crystal so you aren't going to get solid glass bottoms, but as long as you know what you're getting it'll do you well. If nothing else, anyone getting this as a gift will definitely have a "wow" moment upon opening.

It's a gimmick
If you purchase this expecting a nice decanter, you're going to be disappointed. The construction feels rather cheap and the glasses don't clink like proper glass, but rather they make a disappointing clunk sound. As others have pointed out, the decanter itself is very thin. This is something that could easily get knocked over and shatter.The design, well, it's fine. It does look like a stormtrooper helmet, but certainly not a top shelf one. This would be a whole lot nicer if it were a little bigger and made from a polished white ceramic.

My husband is a Star Wars and Bourbon geek - Figured he would love this and he does. However the glass on both the decanter and the glasses themselves is very thin. I would rather pay more and have substantial glass than something you are afraid to use because it may break. That being said as a novelty piece it certainly does the job.

This is an amazing gift idea for any Star Wars and/or whisky enthusiast. It is beautifully crafted from lead-free crystal glass, perfect for storing whiskey, bourbon, scotch, vodka, even wine. The decanter and glasses are shaped like Imperial storm troopers. Decanter includes a sturdy cork. It comes in a star field covered box, securely padded for travel and perfect for gifting. I was surprised to find that it comes with bottle opener in the shape of The millennium falcon, there are some similar sets out there but I think this is the only one with this bonus gift. Seriously who wouldn’t love a Star Wars twist on their liquor cabinet? Be it for your dad, husband, boyfriend, or work colleagues who drink, this is incredible.
