I use these plates for portion control. They work well for this. They are very smooth on the top, but rough on the rimmed edges of the bottom - even after a full dishwashing cycle. (Zoom in on photos see rim residue) I plan to smooth the rims of the back side with high-grit sandpaper. Other than that minor defect, they are marvelous.
Fantastic quality porcelain plates! I'll be using these as snack and dessert plates. I also plan on sitting these out for entertaining, I think they'll be great for a charcuterie board buffet. Set includes 6 plates, 8' inches. These are so nice I plan on buying the 10' inch plates as well for dinner parties. Highly recommend!
