Inexpensive, Works Great, Easy Setup, Impressive Range
I cook a lot, like every day and sometimes multiple times a day so I'm kind of obsessed with food. One of my obsessions is keeping the refrigerator as cold as possible without freezing food. I go through a lot of milk which can expire quickly if it's not kept cold, so my goal is to keep the fridge just a little about freezing to extend the life of more perishable foods like dairy products. This probe seemed like the perfect solution, and it was! It's super easy to set up and I already had the app installed since I have several Tuya smart plugs already so I was up and running in no time. The probe end is clearly meant to be inside your refrigerator and I figured since it has a display the box itself was meant to be placed on the outside of the fridge, but that's not what I had in mind. Since the box also has a temperature sensor on it and since I wanted to measure the temperature on both the bottom and top shelves of my fridge I decided to place the box itself on the top shelf and run the probe to the bottom. I was worried it wouldn't be able to connect to my wifi while inside the metal box that is my fridge, but to my surprise it works perfectly! Now, I can see the temperature at both the bottom-rear of my fridge as well as the top-front of it and I know the bottom is at 35 degrees while the top sits at 40. At under $20 this is a fantastic value on a reliable, accurate wireless fridge/freezer thermometer.

Gives me peace of mind
I am using this sensor to notify me if my garage fridge goes above a specific threshold indicating that the door was left open or that the fridge is malfunctioning. That will give me time to move all the food out before it spoils.This sensor is quite a bit smaller than I expected which is a good thing. It doesn't take up much space and seems to function exactly as expected. The built-in display only displays the temperature in Celsius not Fahrenheit (at least I wasn't able to figure out how). The app displays in Fahrenheit for me by default so at least that works well.I already had the Smartlife app installed and have several other Tuya devices so this integrates well in that ecosystem. The Smartlife app picked this device up immediately so pairing took under 1 minute.The wifi reach is good as the router is inside my house and this device is in the garage and gives me real-time values.I tested the alert by setting a valid range for the probe and it alerted me on my phone within 60 seconds or so. There was just a display issue during the setup of the alert where it doesn't specify which sensor is which, but I guessed that the bottom one in the GUI represented the external probe and was correct on that guess.Overall this works perfectly and I will be ordering at least one more to monitor my kitchen fridge as well.The price at under $15 is great.
