This meat thermometer has quickly become one of my favorite kitchen tools. I didn’t think it would be that big of a difference but, honestly makes life a lot easier than checking with a manual probe. The device connects easily and the app is pretty reliable during use- the internal temperature reads surprisingly accurately and the app is incredibly well built making readings a breeze and simple to use. This is a time saver, not just a meat thermometer!

This is a fantastic device! We tried it out cooking a pot roast, since it cooks long, and we wanted to be able to monitor it while doing other things around the house. We had some projects that we needed to tend to, all the way downstairs in our basement, and it was great to be able to monitor the roast, without having to come back upstairs to check on it! What freedom! This meat thermometer comes with a booster, that can send the signal up to 800 feet; so we had no problem moving freely and taking care of other chores, while also monitoring our dinner! It worked perfectly; just as advertised and the accuracy of the temperature seemed spot on! It’s easy to clean, easy to use, and this is an easy 5 star review from me!

Apparent connection issues with certain cell phones

Update:This is an excellent product. Qireda customer service is amazing. I was having problems connecting the iCooker to my iPhone. Qireda identified the problem and corrected it. They sent me a new probe which works perfectly is very reliable very accurate. On the contrary, the “Meater” probe which charges on a AAA battery has caused me some problems, such as charging and not being able to tell if your connection failure is due to a worn down AAA battery. Before I learned about the Qireda iCooker Probe, I had to buy a second Meater as a back up due to this problem when I’m ready to cook. However, with the Qireda iCooker Probe you can be absolutely certain of your battery power and not have to change out AAA batteries and wait for them to charge up the thermometer. I now prefer Qireda over Meater, plus the Qireda iCooker Probe is a fraction of the price of Meter.Since my 21 September 2025 review I’ve received feedback from Qireda that they are working the issue. I really like that the battery is electronically charged. My MEATER thermometer is charged by a AAA battery which over the years has caused some issues. Hopefully one day I can try this thermometer again and update my review.………….Could not get it to hook up with my cell phone. I noticed another post stating the same issue.I do believe it is a one off issue because there are good reviews for this thermometer system.And I do like their system to charge the thermometer itself. But I had to return this item and bought another brand which is working fine.If anyone else has a problem with the thermometer system not hooking up with their cell phone, I recommend calling this company’s customer service. They are more than just responsive. They offered to give me a full refund, which I declined since I already got a refund from Amazon.

Great technology at a great price!

This is very nice and compares well to more expensive models (that I own and costs 3 times what I paid for this!). The only thing this didn’t have was a magnetic bottom holder. If I really want to, I will attach some magnetic tape to the bottom of the base. This device can charge with USB which is great! I did a cook this weekend and used this and my old thermometer in the same pork shoulder and later in a brisket. The reported temperatures were -+/-1 degree F. The app was easy to use and the base connected to my iphone without issues. I think this is a great value and really does a great job. Highly recommend.
