Built-In Quality!

There is so much to say about the inherent built in quality of this wok. This is a beautiful wok. I am admittedly not an expert on woks, having only cooked on one 3 or 4 times, but I enjoyed it and feel great about having one of such quality. I followed directions on the included card, and washed it, then, rather than drying it by hand, as I would typically tend to do, put it on heat on my stove, to ensure that it dries and that there is no moisture even deep within the pores of the wok that could be problematic.I have just now worked on and completed my first stir-fry. The longer handle and the one directly across, combine to facilitate easier handling of the wok. The configuration creates an ergonomically simple method that enables the use of two hands for better control of the wok. The wok did seem to heat up very evenly and I found cooking in it to be incredibly easy and richly satisfying. The wok has an excellent feel. I am admittedly still on a learning curve, but I am excited since I do believe that this is an excellent wok to learn on. You can see and just feel that the wok is incredibly well made. I simply made a very basic stir fry configuration as I am going to build toward some more complicated recipes as I am better familiarized with the wok and how to best utilize it.I am admittedly very new to the process of cooking with a wok; this is just one of a very few times that I have done so. My food did turn out wonderfully, and I enjoyed the experience very much. I certainly have a long way to go in my learning about the intricacies of wok cooking, but I have found this wok to be a wonderful unit. It feels excellent in the cooking process, and I would absolutely give my full recommendation for this quality well-constructed wok. This wok is one that with minimal care should last a lifetime. It does have that feel of built-in quality. Highly Recommended!

Wok works

Nice good sized wok. This is a great looking wok. As I have used a few woks in the past, though it says it is non-stick, you still need to season it (this involves adding layers of oil and heating it) for it to work. Once its been established, I still use some oil for any cooking as you need to continue the build-up its protective layer. This will also help with its rust resistance and makes it much easier to clean. I also like that this is fairly light-weight though it still has a solid steel base which makes it very firm. The wooden handles lets you toss the food and shuffle it easier. Overall, I find this wok to be excellent though I find it a bit on the expensive side. Nevertheless, this wok works well and will be quite durable for a long time.

High quality, easy to use, & works great

The Armarpot Wok 12.5 Inch with Lid 2 Handles is really easy to use, and it works great! It's large, strong, durable, and easy to clean too (it does say it's best to lightly coat it in oil when finished cleaning it though). It cooks very well, and evenly heats the food in it - the food doesn't stick to it either. The lid fits perfectly, and has an easy to grip knob on top to lift/remove, and replace it. Overall, I think it's very well made, well designed, and definitely high quality. I'd recommend it!

Lightweight but food sticks.

This heats up incredibly fast and gets very hot. That’s a big pro since nonstick pans don’t do that and it’s hard to get a good sear. That being said this is not non-stick. It makes such a mess and I can use oil and things still stick. Once I soak it for a few minutes the stick parts release but I think for this price it shouldn’t stick. I season it and treat it like my cast iron which becomes non stick with seasoning. This however hasn’t had that happen. I like how lightweight this is…if I could get this to be non-stick with seasoning I would give this 4 stars. It’s just a very expensive pan and I’m not sure I’d get this again.

Excellent wok but needs additional seasoning.

The quality of this wok is outstanding. From the handles to the lid to the wok itself, everything is what I expect when it comes to a wok of this price level. The heating is nice and even, and by matter of fact, this wok should last a lifetime with good care. I love that it uses no toxic chemicals, which is a big selling point for me personally.The only thing I want to point out, is that while it says it's "pre-seasoned", it's only pre-seasoned to a very minimal amount. As a die-hard cast iron aficionado, I can attest to the fact this pan needs MORE seasoning out of the box to be truly nonstick. To wit, I put it through 3 seasoning sessions, and it's just now starting to become usable. A few more and it should be golden.So, I definitely recommend this wok but take the time to put it through additional seasoning "sessions" before you bring it into full use. An evening or Saturday afternoon putting on some additional seasoning layers to this pan will be time well spent, I promise you. 5 stars.
