It was given as a gift, I know it's meant for sourdough, but it worked really well with home ground red wheat. It served the purpose well. it's sturdy, and well made. It's a good size for two people. The dough didn't stick, was easy to turn over into the bakeware. Very happy with the product. It's worth the money.

I love the size of this wood pulp banneton basket. It is a 9” round banneton with grooves and holds 750g of sourdough which is approximately 3-3.5 cups of dough. The top lip of the basket is 9” and the actual basket is 7” therefore the resulting sourdough loaves are round and tall. This basket is easy to use and clean because the dough does not stick to the wood pulp. I love the groove pattern and do wish this exact same basket was available in a waffle pattern. Unfortunately, the waffle pattern banneton is wider which results in a flatter sourdough loaf. The price of this wood pulp banneton is a bit higher than regular bannetons but is well worth the money.

The basket is made from natural wood pulp, which seems durable and sturdy, and the non-stick surface helps to prevent the dough from sticking during the proofing process.The size is perfect for most home baking, but I do wish it were just a bit larger—perhaps a 10" or 11" option would be ideal for those of us who bake larger loaves. Despite this, it comfortably holds up to 1.5 pounds of dough, making it suitable for smaller to medium-sized batches.What I really appreciate is the fact that it’s made in Germany, where craftsmanship and attention to detail are evident. The quality of the material gives me confidence that this basket will last through many bakes. It's easy to clean, though I make sure to let it air dry completely between uses.In conclusion, it's a great bread proofing basket that helps create beautiful loaves, but I’d recommend considering its size if you typically bake larger quantities of dough.

These are quality wood pulp Bannetons and so much better for high hydration sourdoughs. Release is quick and flawless. The seller is phenomenal and answers thoroughly with any product support question.
