Good Quality Bamboo Tray with Minor Issues

I purchased the wood serving tray with handles in the 20.5" x 13.4" x 1.2" size, which weighs about 2 pounds. The product listing mentions acacia wood, but the actual material is bamboo with a lacquered dark brown finish. It’s smooth, sturdy, and well-constructed overall. My tray does have some oval discoloration on the bottom, but it’s not very noticeable during use. One design feature I don’t like is the sled-like protrusions on the base — they don’t serve a purpose and make the tray bulkier than necessary. I also wish the screws were hidden for a cleaner look. Despite these details, it works well for keeping things organized on my couch and feels durable in daily use.

I ordered this wooden serving tray so I could take meals to an elderly parent’s apartment connected to my home. This tray is so nice that the food I prepare is more appealing and has upgraded the entire dinner presentation for Dad.Even though I remove the plate from the tray and set the table in front of him, he genuinely seems to appreciate the effort I make more, if that is possible; and is more interested in what is on the tray. If I put food on a plastic tray that looks like it came from a cafeteria chow hall, he is less enthusiastic about eating.This tray is good looking and has been a great addition for meal prep for both for everyday use and for hosting. The size is generous without being bulky, and the rectangle shape makes it easy to arrange items neatly whether I’m carrying drinks, serving snacks, or using it as a decorative piece on my island. The wood feels sturdy and the finish is very smooth. The handles are comfortable to grip, which makes it easy to carry even when I have a full tray.I have found more uses than I expected! I use it for setting up small display of snacks when we play cards and clearing the table. The finish gives it a clean, modern look that fits in with different styles of décor, and it’s simple to wipe down after use. It’s also lightweight enough to move around easily but still feels solid and is very well‑made.Overall, it’s a versatile tray that works for serving, organizing, or decorating. Tray looks great and is constructed pretty well

Inside dimensions: 16.75" x 12.25" x 0.75"Outside dimensions: 20.5" x 13.38" x 1.25"4.5 stars. Overall I am quite happy with this tray! The wood seems to be of high quality, smooth, with no flaws and a nice grain pattern. The construction is pretty solid - all the joints are perfectly lined up and the tray feels solid with no flex. My four fingers fit comfortably in the handles. I think this tray could be used on hard surfaces, soft surfaces (like a couch or bed), or even as a lap desk. Overall, I think it's a really nice looking and nice feeling object.I would dock a half star (if I could) for two reasons related to the construction of the tray. Firstly, there is a small amount of movement in the bottom of the tray up and down, as thought the bottom of the tray is sitting in a frame that is slightly too big for it. In my opinion, it still feels plenty sturdy and solid. Secondly, when you put the tray on a hard surface, there is a very slight wobble, indicating that it is not 100% flat. The wobble is small and I don't think would interfere with the stability of items placed in it, but I thought prospective buyers should be aware.

Probably too flimsy as a serving tray, but will make an AWESOME charcuterie board

Charcuterie here we come! I am impressed by the size of this tray (20.47×13.39×1.18 in), and love the fact that there are handles, but the sturdiness of the bottom leaves a lot to be desired (why I gave it 4 stars). The bottom wood seems thin, and I would not want to carry anything heavy or hot-or worst of all worlds, both-on it. I WILL however, add it to my stack of charcuterie boards, bits and bobbles. I have included a picture with my charcuterie knives/spreaders and a few ramekins (not included, obviously) to give you an idea of what you’d be working with if you used this as a charcuterie board. I will definitely line this before I use it, the wood doesn’t seem like it’s the greatest quality (aside from being thin, it seems like it would warp very easily). I can’t speak to what this would be as a serving tray, as that’s not why I ordered it, beyond a general warning that you don’t want to carry hot or heavy items on it. But for my purposes, I think this will do just fine as a charcuterie board as long as care is taken to make sure it stays dry while there are nibbles on it.
