This is a great addition to my kitchen utensils. I'm on a quest to remove all items that are plastic or silicone (I don't like the taste that it has). This wooden, teak spoon is perfect. It works as you would expect, and it is really pretty. It isn't dishwasher safe, but it is so simple to clean, that is not a problem at all. It seems durable and well-made, and has an extra long handle for ease of use.I highly recommend!
While this took quite awhile to receive, it arrived in perfect condition. It is a nice solid wooden spoon with the round draining holes making it great for soups, pasta, rice and any other foods that I want to remove excess water or broth from. I have used this many times now, and it works as it should and with a glass brush, I am able to easily clean out the holes when food particles get in and clog them. The spoon is smooth with no sharp wooden pieces or splinters sticking out. It feels comfortable when holding it and working with it, and it is not heavy or awkward feeling. I really like this spoon and would definitely recommend it!
The PETHOMKIT teak slotted spoon has a solid feel and good weight. The rounded shape adds functionality, providing a larger surface area compared to typical slotted spoons. It is made from food-grade teak (although we cannot confirm this fact). Teak is a suitable material for cooking utensils due to its resistance to decay, cracking, and warping. It is very easy to clean, and we expect it to be durable as teak is a hardwood. At about $10, it is a good value for the money.
This works great as a scoop and strainer! I like it a lot for when I need to scoop things out of water or oil (other than long noodles, you better just get a proper spaghetti grabber for that) without catching too much liquid. I've overall been makin a shift over to teak wood to replace both plastic and flat bamboo utensils to use with my non-stick pans, and the ease of use has not been a disappointment. Teak wood looks better, feels better, and seems overall mroe durable.
Beautiful kitchen tool. Its almost too nice to use! Works great, will probably just use it for decor.
