This Rotating Table Napkin Holder (in black) is mostly made of wood, but the rotating section is a plastic circle that goes under the wooden base. Note that assembly is required, which, while not difficult, did take a bit longer than I expected. Instructions are printed on the back of the box, as shown in the photo.It rotates well, and holds napkins upright. However, be careful when pulling a napkin out! Those cool looking pointy corners are actually a bit sharp.

Be aware that you have to assemble this and it was quite cumbersome. I had to have my husband help me put it together. It is not complicated, but takes two people holding the pieces to put it together thus only the 3 stars. Having said that, I love the finished product. It looks lovely and is quite functional.

We eat practically all of our meals at home, but never had a napkin holder for the dining table. The ones I've seen in stores are usually made of shiny metal. Those just look garish to me. When I saw this wooden napkin holder listed at Amazon, it seemed like now or never. Assembly was easy. There is no warping in the wood and once assembled, the holder is structurally solid. The surface of the wood is smooth and the color is even and consistent. It spins easily and can hold spices and condiments on both sides. I wish the side compartments were 1/4 inch wider, but they do accommodate standard salt and pepper shakers, 1.5 ounce spice jars, and smaller bottles of salad dressing and other food condiments. We're happy with this purchase. Finally, a nice looking, functional napkin holder for our table. I think it is worth the price.
