These look so nice, they work great, and they're very practical. I like the little window so that everyone can tell at a glance which is salt & which is pepper, while still looking elegant. On close inspection it really does grind coarse in one direction and fine in the other, but the difference is so slight that I don't think that it really matters. It does leave little bits of salt & pepper behind after each other, but that's where the little tray comes in handy.My wife was very happy with this purchase, and thinks it makes our dining table extra fancy. Would certainly recommend.

These are nice grinders, seem well made and come with a replacement mechanism.I gave 3 stars because it grinds too fine, even on the loosest setting or should I say it doesn't give you a chunky grind. If that is not a requirement for you, these are great.

Very nice addition to our kitchen. Has that satisfying feeling when rotated. Been using it for the salt with no issues. If you put small grains of salt, there is a higher chance of some salt leaking from bottom with movements but negligible amount.I like that it comes with base to hold it nicely in place and take in any salt leakage.The overall build is also great.
