You got a daddy, mommy and baby, along with Cousin Slitted and Auntie Skinny.All joking aside, these things are actually pretty cool. They’re multi-use tools, and can honestly replace several black plastic items lurking in your kitchen drawers. You truly can mix the batter, scrap it into a pan, then frost, then cut and serve a cake with the same spurtle. The bigger ones are a nice size for flipping meat or pancakes or similar items. The smaller one is ideal for getting into jars and cans, stirring things, etc. I’ll end the infomercial here, but you get the idea.Bottom Line : non-plastic, multipurpose, easy to use, and with a delightfully silly name. Get you a spurtle, Myrtle, and you won’t regret it.

If you're not using wood spatulas, are you even living?
I love these. I love the fact that they're not the standard width and they're actually much less wide than a standard spatula. I love the fact too that because of their width, you can actually put them in a countertop display instead of hanging them on the wall, which is what I'm doing. That's because my kitchen drawers are not very deep. They're barely 3 inches deep and the spatulas interfere with opening and closing it and it's just a huge pain so I had to hang them on the wall, but I feel like that looks kind of tacky. These ones are thin enough that you could put them even in a drawer that's barely 3 inches and it won't be interfered with the opening or closing with these in there. But they're so nice looking I'd like to have them on display so I think one of those rotating vase type of storage displays would be awesome. I've recently started switching to wood, decorations and wood utensils and even though they're all made a different way and maybe even with different wood, they all match each other and it creates a nice warm feeling when you walk in. I'd like to be a little bit of a minimalist instead of like when you're walking into like a farmhouse it has that same warm feeling, but there's clutter everywhere. I have a lot of wood decor, but it's all minimal so it kind of gives a modern look while still having the warmth of the wood.Anyway, I recommend these. It makes it very easy to flip grilled cheeses and quesadillas. Makes it very easy to flip your steak if you're cooking it on the stove top. And of course, having the wood means, you can glaze your pan with it or even just scrape the grease out. Also there's one special that's super thin with wise and so you can use that to scrape out your blender. That's a really really nice little life hack I think.Anyway, I recommend these wholeheartedly. I'm really glad that I was able to get them.I only took a picture of three of them, but that's because two of them are in my sink dirty cause I used them last night. Anyway, consider using these for your spatulas moving forward and I think you'll be pretty happy.

High quality wooden spatulas
Very high quality wooden spatulas! They are strong and smooth and work very well! Not to mention that they look very sleek and cool! So far they have resisted stains very well. They are very easy to use and the handle length feels appropriate for the size and use. I like the variety of sizes and styles that come in the set too. The Hefild Teak Spatulas are decent but somewhat repetitive. There are a few different sizes both in length and width. The quality seems ok and of average value. Some of the Spatulas have very thick front edges that would make it not a good option for cooking that requires getting under food, which to me is the main reason I use a spatula, almost turns it into something for stirring. This is not a set you would be able make a fried egg with. Overall this seems like a specialty set that each piece might have a use but it will be limited, more or less used like a spoon for stirring. The long length to narrow width also adds to the very specific use.While I prefer wood utensils, I can't think of many things I cook that I would reach for these over a spoon or traditional thin spatula for turning.

My Go-To Cooking Utensils for Everything

They’ve held up really well over time as long as you don’t put them in the dishwasher.
