Really cute set on countertop. Sturdy stand, size of each trivet is large enough for a small size pot, then open petals of trivet and it’s large enough for a dutch oven size or casserole dish. Seems to be holding up well, even with hot pots being placed on them
The design is unique and beautiful. It was a little odd it didn't include instructions but building it was self explanatory. There's the base, a screw and a rod. It's not rocket science. The flowers themselves take some getting used to. The petals are a little floppy. So when you go to put them down they kind want to flip in different directions. I still love the uniqueness of the product. It could just use a couple improvements
I had another trivet set which also came with a cute way to display for storage between uses...but the trivets didn't lay flat for easy use, so it seemed the designer felt the importance of their gimmicky display took priority over practical use. I felt this "windmill" set would be an improvement since the primary purpose of a trivet is to lay flat underneath a hot dish, and these certainly do that...but the shipment and packaging was bizarre: the product arrived in multiple pieces unassembled with no instructions or printed material of any kind...as if the buyer is meant to be the assembly line factory worker finishing this job. I suspect there were not instructions because this is another of Amazon's products are more affordable due to being shipped from somewhere overseas where wages are low and no one speaks English...but in this case it's really not obvious how to build a windmill trivet set out of these random parts, and I'm just not sure it's worth the bother: frankly, this is just not the job I signed up for.
