Wore through the handles or a stealbottom pot i bought second hand. Thought id have to pitch it, but then saw this listing and thought, why not give it a go. The pots like new and I couldn't be more thrilled!
I wish these were a little wider. They are a little uncomfortable to hold, and wider handles would give better balance on large pots. However, I give these 5 stars because they are extremely versatile. They fit nicely on several different pots with both one and two screws. You may need to use the pot's old screws for some pots. They also look nice and are well made.
The original handles are no longer available so this was the substitute. Does the job but I’m not that pleased because the fit isn’t that good.
Fit perfect. All I had to do was purchase 2 new screws. The ones that came with the handles didn’t work.
Not sure about others' experience on this - mine is disappointing. The pieces felt flimsy right ou to the bag. Th shiny metal portion is very soft and thin, not sure what kind of metal, but probably not stainless steel. The handle portion itself is shiny plastic - I kind of hesitated but replaced my long-worn-should-be-retired original handles of one of my favorite pots. The first time I used it , I used it to make noodle soup - boiling som soup base then adding noodles and veggies. Half way through, we started smelling plastic burning - thee was no visible smoke or burning that one can see. But the smell was evident. The away the handles were anchored to the pot - one side of the plastic has to touch the pot. I am not sure if this is safe. But I am not going use this pot with these handles. Too bad.
We've had this pot for over 40 years and finally ended up burning the original handles into little nubs. Not wanting to dump a favorite, we searched high and low for replacement handles but couldn't find anything local. Amazon to the rescue and these have been great. The screws sent with the handles didn't work well, but a quick trip to our Ace hardware store solved that issue. The handles are very sturdy and appear that they may work for another 40 years.
This is a stainless steel by international cookware that I inherited from my mother . It is a very high quality stainless pot that I wanted to keep and these handles, were the best solution to repair the handels, they look to be just as good as the original ones time will tell .
