Great tea shelving unit!

This tea shelf unit is exactly what I needed. It helped me free up space in my cupboard by having a neat, compact space for my teas on the wall in my kitchen. Also, I think we will use the tea more now that it is in open view. I was a bit hesitant after reading some reviews from people having a difficult time putting it together. Here is what I would like to say: 1) It doesn't come assembled because that would take up shipping space and cost more to ship. 2) It is not that difficult to put together. I did it with a hand screwdriver and by myself (I am 66 years old), and it took me about 35 minutes. You must be patient and follow the diagram exactly. I put in one piece incorrectly, but it was because I wasn't paying full attention -- not because the directions were bad. 3) It is well-built - the parts fit nicely together, and it is sturdy. What helped me to put it together fairly easily was to have good lighting to line up the screw holes well. I used my headband flashlight. But even the flashlight on an iPhone works. Good lighting made it easy to line up the screw holes correctly. Once I had one screw well secured, the rest followed fairly easily. Oh, and someone complained that it was too tall for regular tea bags. The height makes sense if you want to stack them and have enough room to reach your hand in and pull out a tea bag. I am very happy with the product! I would buy it again, but I don't need more than 15 types of tea at one time (lol)!

Buy it now!

Very functional and stylish; helped me organize my tea, as you can see by the photo. Also easy to put together, I put it together while sitting in bed. You do have to have some strength in your arm and hands to push and screw at the same time, so for someone with carpal tunnel or hand cramping, assembly will be difficult. Taking the film off the acrylic pieces was the most tedious part in my opinion.

Difficult to assemble, beautiful when done

First the positives, because despite the negatives I would buy again...This organizer is really beautiful. The materials are sturdy, and I think it'll last forever. Each slot holds a full box of tea, which is so nice! No more box full of 1/3 used containers stashed in the cupboard like in my old organizer. It disassembles easily so you can wipe down all the pieces and keep it nice and clean. Also, because you can pull off the top tiers, it's easy to restock the teas from the back so you're using the freshest stuff first. I put two different teas in the top slots so that guests can easily see the color change to know there are more options which have me the ability to have 20 selections. (Overkill I know, but I love my tea and coffee bar!)For the negatives...A little thing that is annoying is that the top two tiers don't click into place, so while they stack nicely, with any forward pressure they slide out of place. If you mount them on a wall this wouldn't be an issue, though. The biggest issue of all is the assembly. It is a major pain and took forever. I didn't feel like the instructions were a big issue, but you do want to pay attention. There are right side pieces, left side pieces, and although they look nearly identical, there are specific pieces for the bottom tier. If you don't use them in the right places, you cannot assemble the organizer. More difficult is that the pilot holes are not big enough. When we tried to assemble the first one we got, the screws were literally breaking. We had to send it back and get a new one, drill the holes larger, then assemble it. If you don't have a drill, you could potentially buy narrower screws. Either way, it was a major pain. All that said, the price made it worth the hassle, and the finished product is the best option I've found for a fictional and esthetically pleasing tea organizer.

Super easy tea organization

First, the elephant in the room: Saw a few reviews complaining about how many pieces it is. Ignoring the clear parts, because they're mind-numbingly easy to put together, you have a total of 12 pieces. Bottom, back, and two sides. That's 4 pieces. That's all. Do that three times. So, ignore the photos where you see people looking confused, or piles of jumbled pieces. You don't use all the pieces at one time, so those photos are wildly misleading. To spell it out: Connect four things, put it aside. Connect another four, put it aside. One last time, and you're done. This isn't "Ikea difficult" or even "Are you smarter than a 5th-grader" difficult. This is "should you be trusted with a screwdriver, or do you need an adult?" level. It's that easy.Saw a few folks complain about the screwdriver they include. Boggles my mind. Never use the tools sent with anything. They're always cheap. Use your own.A grown adult, that has ever held a screwdriver, should be able to put this together in under 15 minutes. That's how long it took me, with a few interruptions even. Subtract the time that it takes to peel off the protective coatings from the plexiglass, and it should only take you around 10 minutes. If it takes you longer than that, hand it off to someone aged 10 or so. They'll have it together faster and with less complaining. Now, for the complaints that it's inconsistent, or you're missing pieces/etc. When you get it, check all the pieces before you start assembling. Takes barely a minute to confirm you have all pieces, and the right pieces, and no damage. Any issues, send it back. Don't try to build it, and then cry about it. You've wasted your own time at that point, don't blame someone else. That out of the way, this is a great tea organizer, and pretty well priced for the quality. As beaten into the ground above, very easy to assemble. Each level has keyhole slots, so you can mount them individually to the wall, or as a set.The plexiglass front is kinda flimsy, but that's p̲e̲r̲f̲e̲c̲t̲l̲y̲ ̲f̲i̲n̲e̲ since it serves absolutely no structural purpose.Criticism: The pictures show tabs at the bottom of each level, which is what connects them together when you stack them. Which means any layer can be substituted for a different layer. Mine did not come that way. I have one set of sides missing that those tabs. It does not affect my usage AT ALL, because I simply made that my bottom layer. Because it doesn't affect anything, for me, I am not reducing the rating for it.However, if you buy several, and want to stack them all vertically, that would be a negative, since you'd have one layer that won't connect.Price could be...eh....slightly better. I purchased this at $39.99. I think they would have nailed it, closer to the $30 mark. But, lumber prices and whatnot are all higher right now, so that's probably just a side effect.Edit: Just ordered a second one. Came with all the parts it should, no damage, etc. One level does not have the stacking tabs, but again, not a problem. Excluding the time it took to peel the plastic dividers (which you could skip if you wanted), it only took SIX MINUTES to assemble the entire thing.Anyway, there's a more in-depth review than most of the others. Hope it helps with your decision. :) And yes, some of it was snarky and barbed, but I hate when perfectly good products get bad reviews because of USER DEFICIENCY.
