A great Yerba Maté set, especially for beginners.

The Cuopru Yerba Maté stainless steel gourd and thermos set will be great for those new to the world of Yerba Maté. The modern gourd is actually pretty nice. I enjoy holding it in my hand. It’s comfortable to hold. The grooves along with the shape helps ensure one to not accidentally lose their grip. The flange is good. You get a basic bombilla with a cleaning brush. As well as a tea shaver. I plan to use it to help form a great mountain. The divider has a really shiny finish with the Cuopru name. Sadly, it scratched easily in the sink when washing everything for use. That’s sad. Although it’s sad that it scratched, I won’t keep using it. It threw me off on how much tea to pour into the gourd. It also took away the fun of making my mountain. Made me feel like I was on a bike with training wheels to tell the truth. It did however perform great in giving me tea free drinks from my bombilla. I can give that part of the divider a thumbs up. The thermos looks great but it had an awful smell inside. The pour spout works great. I didn’t experience any leaks. The thermos can keep the water hot for hours! I like that it can hold a good amount of water. About 34 ounces. The handle though is less than desirable. It’s too close to the body of the thermos. It’s not really ergonomic. I bypassed the handle and just used the body of the thermos. The cap of the thermos is all plastic which is a bummer. Would be nicer if it was stainless steel as well for more durability. All in all though, this is a pretty nice Yerba Maté set. I love the wood grain look. I’ve enjoyed using it all day with my favorite brand of Yerba Maté. I’d say it’s worth the price especially for those starting out. I’d just suggest to the company to change the thermos lid and handle.

perfect starter kit for a modern mate enthusiast

This is the perfect starter kit for a modern mate enthusiast. The stainless steel gourd is so much easier to clean and maintain than a traditional calabash, and the thermal flask keeps my water at the perfect temperature for hours. It might not have the old-world feel, but for on-the-go convenience and a clean, consistent taste, you can't beat it.
