Quality and easy to use

The canning pot and all accessories arrived quickly, as usual. Everything was packed very well, with the pot, etc. in its own box and that box inside a well-protected larger box, but the pot arrived with a small dent at the bottom edge. It’s just cosmetic, so not worth worrying about.This was my first time canning anything, but when we found ourselves with 16 tomato 🍅 varieties and a bumper crop, I decided to be brave and give it a try. The pot and all of the tools are very good quality; sturdy/solid, not flimsy. The magnet to grab the lids is very strong - it even picked up multiple lids at a time! I was told to get a rack that could be raised and hooked onto the pot’s rim and I’m so glad I did. It is so much easier to be able to lower the jars back down while I work on the next one. The insulation on the handles of the rack is excellent and makes holding the handles comfortable, with no burning discomfort.The description says the pot will hold 6 quart jars, but I was only able to get 5 of the Ball wide-mouth jars to fit. This could be because of the jars themselves, because there was almost enough room in the center for the 6th one, but no rotating of the jars worked. Again, not an issue, since everything worked well.I’m riding a canning high and ready to take on jellies!

While I've been waiting to leave this review, I've accidentally dropped multiple sockets and other items directly on the lid without breaking it or leaving a scratch, so I'm pretty sold on the quality! You're not breaking this on accident. It's a pretty good starting kit, including everything you'll need except the jars. The fiance and I are going to try our hands at canning this year, and this kit will be invaluable! Everything seems to be well made and up to the task. It's a large size which should accommodate multiple jars at once, and since everything is steel it should all be easy to clean and maintain. I'm excited to get started!
