Freaking awesome. Good quality. My dad got this for my wife and I and we love it. This sucker is heavy and durable. Will definitely last a lifetime and be passed down. An heirloom quality piece for sure. The cups get a little hot being cast iron and are a little on the small side. The fine mesh cup works great for loose leaf teas. If you have been considering this tea set you should definitely make the investment and buy it.

Almost perfect teapot for our needs.

Was looking for a large capacity durable teapot set and this thing fit the bill. I got the 1200ml version and am quite pleased with the capacity as well as the make of the teapot in general. It is heavy (as expected from the material) but solid and well made. I am a fan of enameled cast iron in general for cookware so that might bias me a bit here...It has a nice traditional design that both looks good and is quite practical. The teapot set came well packaged and included a candle warmer, pedestal, cups, stainless steel infuser, and a tool for lid removal when hot. The ~2oz cups are not seeing much use for drinking out of, but I have already used them several times for dipping sauce with dumplings and they worked very well for that. It is compatible with basically any stove as far as I can tell and seems like it should last a while.The only minor issue i have noticed so far is that when pouring from full it has a tendency to drip a little down the spout when stopping the pour. A slightly different spout design could have mitigated that but once you are aware of it, it can be mitigated by pouring out more or stopping more sharply for the first cup so not taking off a star.Overall this has become our main daily teapot and everyone in the household is very pleased with it.

Good size Teapot for American users

I have always loved an enamel-lined cast iron teapot ever since I lived in Japan for several years. It keeps the water or tea hotter much longer than a regular teapot, and the enamel lining means if I forget I have water in it it won't cause rust to form. However, being American, I usually use a large mug for tea, and finding a teapot that is large enough for several mugs at a time was a hunt. This 40 oz teapot fits the criteria I was looking for quite well. It heats up fast on a stove and works with electric, gas, or induction style burners or even on top of a wood-burning stove. It comes with a stainless steel infuser, a trivet hot pad, a warmer for tea light candles, or could also be used if you have an electric heat light, 4 - 2 oz (59ml) tea cups, and a fork for lifting the hot lid. The cups hold 2 oz. and still have about /8' or 3 mm of space to the rim.It has a hobnail design, very classic, and is supposed to help retain heat.It pours without dripping and the handle is easy to grip and use, even when hot.While I doubt I'll use the included cups for tea, they are a good size for dipping sauces and I imagine I'll repurpose them for that. So far I am very happy with this purchase.
