Loved everything about it, then it stopped working only 3 weeks in. Never mistreated, never anything but occasional gentle hand-washing. No apparent clog in the drain and the ball-stopper both rolls and seats properly. No rattling in the switch mechanism, or any outward indication that it isn't actuating. Whole thing is perplexing.

I'll admit here and now, I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to kettles, so my review may not be as refined as someone much more knowledgeable than me. Here's what I do know: this kettle looks beautiful. Even when not in use, it's a great little piece to display. It is great for loose leaf teas, which is why I got it. It comes with all the tools you need to clean it (have I already lost mine? For sure, but it did come with them). Here's where my lack of experience may be showing, but I'm not sure it's entirely worth the price. Feels expensive for what it is. Does it work? Yes. Is it beautiful? Also yes. Only hold up if the price tag, but if that doesn't bother you, I think you'll be happy with this.

pretty and practical for tea time
I’ve been using this set for a couple weeks now and it’s kind of charming. The glass pot looks delicate with the golden handle, but it actually feels sturdy when I hold it. I like that the glass lets me watch the tea change color, reminds me of sitting at my aunt’s house where she always checked the tea shade before pouring.The iron kettle is heavier of course, but it holds plenty for when I have friends over. I wouldn’t say it keeps heat forever, but long enough that we could refill cups without rushing. The magnetic strainer is neat, I didn’t expect it to work so smoothly, it just clicks in place and comes out easy when I’m cleaning.Not dishwasher safe, so I just rinse it and use the little brush. Takes a bit of time but worth it since it still looks nice on the shelf. Good for loose leaf or even simple herbal blends when I just want something calming at night.
