This company should also make a set of rectangular containers with lids

I really like these containers. They stack easily in the refrigerator. They are the perfect depth. The stainless steel does not absorb odor of the food you are storing or marinating. Also, it has a lid, so you do not need to use foil or plastic wrap to cover meat/fish you are marinating. The containers are light weight and not flimsy. They are easy to use. I wish this company would also make a set of rectangular containers with lids. Sometimes you need a rectangular container instead of a square container. Also in case anyone is wondering, the picture of these food containers make it look rectangular. They are square. Just look at the measurements in the product profile.

Freezer friendly durable, long lasting

I bought a warming plate to use for Thanksgiving and these fit the same size as the warming plate as the longer dishes do not these also can go directly from the freezer into the oven without worry of cracking so that was good for Thanksgiving if you wanna cook ahead of time also it’s better freezer friendly sizes instead of large casserole dishes so if you wanna cook ahead of time, these are wonderful and they have tops so you can stack them in the freezer and also in the buffet, they have a nice Lightweight top. They can easily be put out of the way instead of having all that foil. I’ll give these an A+, especially if you want to freeze things ahead of time. These are a good size to put in your freezer great for casseroles and literally will last forever because they are stainless.! I was very pleased with these in this made Thanksgiving a lot easier because they fit in the freezer.

I bought three sets of three different sizes that nest. The medium weight stainless steel is nicely finished. The lids seal well. (I think some of the review complaints about sealing were because the lid's tab needs to be pulled up to release inside pressure when putting the lid on, then pushed down once the lid is in place.) Very nice set.

A metal replacement for plastic containers.

These are basically a replacement for plastic containers. You can get a decent-sized meal in one of these if you want to take something hot to work. Stainless steel is easy to clean, and the fact they are dishwasher safe makes it even easier. My plastic containers often get burned, melted, and scratched, and I find these hold up much better.That being said, the lids are a bit disappointing. They're not microwave or oven safe, so if you need to cook something with the lid on or resting on top, you're out of luck. They're also plastic, so degrade much faster than the rest of the container. The price is also a factor: they're 32.99 for two containers. If you're someone who has a cupboard full of plastic containers in varying shapes and sizes that you want to replace, it won't be cheap to do so.If you're wondering how a stainless steel container is microwave safe because you were always taught never to put metal in the microwave, it's because there are no sharp edges on these containers. It's the sharp edges on foil, foil wrappers, forks, etc that are the danger. That being said, if you damage or dent these in a way that they're not so smooth, don't use them in the microwave anymore.
