I love these stretchy lids. There are 2 pieces of each size; 1 blue and 1 clear. I use them for my Corelle bowls. The mid-sized ones work perfectly. However, there are only 2 of them. I wish I could 14 pieces of the size that I need. I am, however, able to use the slightly larger size on my bowls but they are not air-tight. The ones that fit correctly are air-tight. All the other sizes are just sitting in my drawer.
When I opened the package of these they seemed to be melted together but they were just vacuum sealed. There were more sizes then expected and they do stretch well to cover.
The largest fit my 6 qt mixing bowl. (Pictured) With room to spare. If there's a larger bowl, it may fit that. (I have 2 bowls, so this was great! )Next size down fit my 5 qt mixing bowl. (I have 2 of these bowls, as well! )I used one to cover the top of my food processor, which would allow dust to get in. Even though this wasn't round, it still covers and holds well.Used another to cover my S.S. French Coffee press, which also has a pour area that dust can get it. Went right over the press handle and grabbed the sides.By using these, there's no need to rise prior to use. Not just a time saver, sometimes you don't want it wet.You get 14 covers. I used 6 right away. I'm pleased with them. Well made, easy to hand wash and dry. Easy to use. No wasting, as with other stuff, like plastic wrap or wax paper or foil. Plus with these being fitted, they look so much nicer and stay put.If I never find a use for the remaining lids, I'm very happy I bought these. Something may come up and I'll be ready with a cover.They feel thin, but are well suited for the uses I've tried. If they were thicker, they may not work as well. When thinking of plastic wrap, these are super thick in comparison.This is the first of this type that I've purchased. Really glad I did.
This is a good idea in theory. Upon receipt it’s not all that practical in reality. You kinda need three arms or help to safely stretch these over the bowl top without spilling the contents as the item isn’t all that pliable.
I've loved these for covering odd things, like cereal bowls and cans. My 2 yr. old grandson DID grab one and manage to rip the edge off, but kids are brilliant and destruction, and I haven't had one tear when covering dishes and such.
Don't buy this product! The quality is terrible! The thickness varies across the films surface. There are obvious flaws--thick globs and thin spots! You can see and feel the thick and thin spots. It's not worth my time to send them back. You have been warned!
Love these! They come in handy, are easily cleaned, and durable.
