very practical and looks nice
I do not find this flimsy at all. I find it terrific, especially for the price! Good quality brushed stainless base with big enough ends that you can easily pick it up by base alone. A clear top (so you can see how much butter is left!) and an easy to pick up handle on top (instead of fumbling around trying to grap a handle-less top with wet or greasy hands when cooking). It is 1000 times better than the $2.99 all plastic version that was all that was available at my local big box store. I am very happy with it.

Clean and simple look
This is a simple little butter dish that fits perfectly in with any kitchen scheme. I thought I wouldn’t like the plastic lid but it’s thick enough to not look cheap and I like that if i do happen to set it down harder than I mean to it’s not going to break all over whatever I’m trying to cook up. The tiny knob on top could be a bit bigger to make grabbing that a little easier but it’s not been an issue in any way. Love it so far!

Good - with some flaws
I have mixed feelings about this butter dish. It fits my Kerrygold wide bar well but the butter doesn’t stay in place on the smooth stainless steel base. As the butter is used it slides around and makes a mess. If they could make a slightly textured stainless steel to hold the butter in place better it would be perfect. I like the clear plastic top with the well designed knob but it never stays clear because of the condensation from the cold butter; it may as well be opaque. The top also doesn’t sit well on the base and tends to jump around easily, a consequence of the lightweight plastic which I wanted😀. The only reason I am giving this four stars instead of three is because this is a unique design with a SS non-toxic bottom and lightweight plastic top, a perfect combo. I didn’t want anything heavy and breakable like glass or ceramic so this was perfect. I will live with the annoying flaws.

Nice but......
Nice, but I had to swap out the little knob that was on top of the cover because it was too small to be practical in lifting the cover. So I bought a decorative metal drawer pull and a shorter bolt than the one that came with the pull, works great and looks very “customized”. My only other reason for three stars is that the butter slides too easily on the tray. maybe a “bumpy” surface might work better. But basically, I like the look of the dish. It just needs to be designed smarter......additionally, the "copper" one started peeling its color. Since it's way past the return date, I'll just try to get the rest of the color off and have 2 steel colored dishes instead....a disappointment, but now I have a matching set.
