If you’re looking to bake a standard 8x8 cake 🎂 or send a batch of cookies home with friends, these definitely get the job done. Plus, having the lids included is a huge win for stacking them in the fridge, baking with a lid on, or gifting treats without worrying about plastic wrap and all the troubles that come along with that. 🎁However, I’m knocking off one star because the listing calls them "strong," but they feel more like the lightweight, budget-style pans you’d find at a discount store. 🛒 They aren’t "heavy-duty" by any means. Good for Potlucks, Not Powerlifting
I downsized two years ago, and purged tons of my belongings. My new kitchen is much smaller, with a lot less storage space, so as I went through my dishes, utensils, pans and appliances, I asked myself when I had last used each of them, and my baking dishes didn’t make the cut.I have been getting a lot of requests to bring my butterscotch bars to family meals and gatherings, and now I regret letting go of my 8x8 inch baking pan. Disposable aluminum pans are a great solution, and with lids are even better for transporting my secret recipe bars!The pans are pretty thin, and the gauge is not listed on the labeling or in the product listing. The sidewalls flare out slightly at the top. The interior measurements are 6 ¾ inches square at the base, and 7 ¼ inches square at the top. The claim that they are 8x8 apparently comes from a measurement taken at the top – there is a 3/8-inch rim around the outer edge, so the rim-to-rim measurement is 8 inches. They are 2 inches deep. The lids are made of the same thin aluminum. They are larger than the pan, allowing the lid to be crimped down along all four sides.The thin aluminum construction means that these pans should be placed on a sturdy cookie sheet for support, to prevent bending and spilling, and bake time may need to be reduced – I check for doneness about 10 minutes earlier than the recipe calls for.These pans are average in price for bulk quantities, if, in fact, the others are of similar quality. I am deducting stars for the flimsy weight and sizing discrepancies.

They hold their shape better. I am not sure if that is because they are thicker or because of the square design, but either way, they work better for me.I really like that the lids are included. It is nice to have them when storing food or transporting something without needing extra wrap.I spent a good amount of time comparing foil pans just before getting these, and for a pack that includes lids, the price is good.

Perfect for baking or to go!
I think I have struggled more than I need to when we going over to friends house or there is a pot luck and I would always bring my dishes, this is much more convenient plus I do meal prep so it’s perfect for baking and store it in the fridge, great for multi purpose for me. They are perfect true to size, pretty sturdy for baking and no cleaning is always a plus. Lid is definitely a huge plus, just cover and go.
