I purchased this instead of the 4qt US saucepan with the long handle (numerous review said that saucepan was too heavy for just the long handle and needed a side handle as well, which it doesn't have). I made the right choice because it does get quite heavy when fill with liquid.
The box was damaged. Not same quality as my previous pot.
The stainless steel 8 qt Dutch oven is solidly made with a nice brushed stainless interior. It heats quickly and evenly. The handles stay cool when the pan is hot. I've only used it once so far but it performed very well and I look forward to using it for many years.
The online description said in "mint" condition.This was untrue.The pot as a crack in the ceramic coating and it was filthy.Had grease stains on it that I could not get out.Also had burn marks on the bottom of pot that are permanent.Beware of this seller when they say mint conition.It is a bold faced lie.It is a useable pot but very ugly.
Not made in Germany, made in Vietnam.
Solid but not super heavy. Better quality than most. Cooks and simmers great so far!
I must confess that this is the first Dutch oven I have owned and I love it! It’s not only beautiful, but it does it’s job excellently. I didn’t know what I was missing by not having an actual Dutch oven.
